The de Bruin Group is a family-owned, locally-based company which was established by the late Adrian de Bruin.

Adrian migrated to Australia from The Netherlands in 1955 at the age of 10 years old with his parents and 3 siblings. One of his first jobs was working as a Fitter & Turner with Woods & Forest at Mount Burr

Adrian started South East Afforestation Service in 1978 in Millicent SA, purchasing Sapfor in 1988 becoming SEAS Sapfor.

SEAS Sapfor was renamed to Auspine in 1991. Auspine was later listed on the ASX.

Adrian sold his stake in Auspine in 2007 at its peak with 45000ha of freehold land and managed 42000ha of radiata pine. At this time Auspine was the world’s largest radiata pine export woodchip facility, with 3 large pine sawmills and a national timber sales network across all states in Australia.

The deBruin Group of Companies was established 2008 comprising of Mayura Station, deBruin Engineering, Trade Centre, The Convent and other groups of properties across South Australia.

Adrian passed away suddenly on 18th July 2015 at the age of 70 and is survived by his four children, Amanda, Joanne (dec. 2019), Scott and Alice.

Scott is the Managing director of the de Bruin group. He is the CEO and Chairman of de Bruin Securities and the Managing Director of multi-award winning Mayura Station, home to one of the largest privately owned Full-blood Wagyu Cattle operations in Australia, with international export branded beef operations and the award winning onsite farm restaurant The Tasting Room. Scott is a previous President and Chairman of the Australian Wagyu Association.

Amanda spent more than 20 years working in banking and finance in Adelaide and Melbourne before joining the de Bruin Group in 2009. Amanda manages the de Bruin Group of Properties across the Limestone Coast and Adelaide, including the Gillman Industrial Estate, The Convent & the 12-Lot de Bruin Place development in Mount Gambier. She sits on the board of de Bruin Securities, and has been a board member and treasurer of charity organisation Four Reasons Why since 2017. Amanda has also taken on a range of volunteer roles at Federals Baseball Club.

Jud is the Managing Director of de Bruin Engineering, and a director of de Bruin Group companies. He has worked in many technology roles as a science graduate, software developer and manager. Jud has worked in an array of industries, including aquaculture, logistics, aeronautical engineering, insurance, aviation, spatial mapping, agriculture, mechanical engineering and manufacturing.  Jud supports his children’s sporting clubs through active committee membership, social club memberships, and enjoys playing the occasional round of golf when the opportunity arises.
