Mayura Station: Farm Operations Manager
About the role
Mayura Station is looking for a Farm Operations Manager to join the team.
Located 5km outside of Millicent SA, National award winning full-blood Wagyu Beef producer Mayura Station is a progressive, vertically integrated beef producer, with its ‘paddock to plate’ operation supplying premium Full-blood Wagyu boxed beef both domestically and internationally, utilising cutting-edge practices and quality equipment from modern facilities.
The successful candidate must have strong leadership skills, experience in agriculture and cattle practices. Sound business operation knowledge is essential to lead the Mayura Station team.
The position reports directly to the Managing Director
The Role:
- Lead, develop and build accountability across the on-farm team
- Oversee breeding, grazing, feedlot, cropping and irrigation programs
- Improve herd fertility, genetic performance and beef production outcomes
- Manage budgets, contractors, infrastructure and farm improvements
- Maintain high standards of WHS, animal welfare, biosecurity and compliance
- Drive productivity and profitability across the operation
About You
- At least 10 years’ experience in senior agricultural leadership, including beef cattle and people management
- Sound knowledge of beef production, ideally spanning breeding, feedlot, pasture, cropping or irrigation
- Proven commercial, planning and team leadership capability
- A practical, calm and ethical leadership style
- Relevant qualifications or substantial equivalent experience, plus a current driver’s license
