Mayura Station: Farm and Livestock Hand
About the role:
Mayura Station is looking for an experienced Farm and Livestock hand to join their team.
National award winning full-blood Wagyu Beef producer Mayura Station is a progressive, vertically integrated beef producer, with its ‘paddock to plate’ operation supplying premium Full-blood Wagyu boxed beef both domestically and internationally, utilising cutting-edge practices and quality equipment from modern facilities.
The successful candidates will work under the supervision of the Livestock Leading hand.
The Role:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Perform cattle handling procedures
- Perform cattle health and welfare procedures
- Transport, handle, prepare, apply and store chemicals applicable to primary work area
- Operate moving plant and equipment competently and efficiently
- Perform grain proessing procedures
- Perform feed manufacturing and delivery procedures
- Perform hygiene and housekeeping procedures associated with the primary work area
- Possess understanding of industry quality assurance programs and all site operating procedures
- Carry out workplace work health and safety procedures
About You:
- Certificate II in Agriculture and/or farming background
- A current driver’s license is required for this position
- Enjoy practical work
- Able to undertake manual and sometimes heavy work
- Responsible approach and attitude
- Able to work outdoors in any kind of weather conditions for long periods of time
- Able to handle animals with confidence and patience
